A fireplace briefly broke out at a constructing belonging to Russia’s defence ministry within the centre of Moscow on Wednesday night, Russian state information businesses reported, citing emergency companies.
Footage shared by state media retailers on social media confirmed a skinny plume of darkish smoke rising from the defence ministry’s headquarters in Moscow on Znamenka road, close to the Kremlin.
The small blaze was put out shortly after it began with no casualties, the TASS information company reported.
“Round 19:30 (16:30 GMT), in one of many administrative buildings of the defence ministry in Moscow, responsibility employees detected smoke on the premises. The fireplace division and ministry of emergency conditions got here to the scene,” Interfax cited the defence ministry as saying in an announcement.
The fireplace coated an space of 60 sq. metres (646 sq. ft), TASS cited native emergency companies as saying.
The defence ministry stated it was at present establishing the reason for the hearth.
