Tasmania’s solely identified resident elephant seal has been evicted from a well-liked seaside after taking on residence ashore.
Identified affectionately as Neil, the three-tonne seal stunned locals through the week with a go to to Kingston Seashore in Hobart.
Conservationists, wildlife biologists and a veterinarian moved the seal to “a extra secluded location” to make sure his security on April 28.
Locals have been requested to maintain their distance till the juvenile southern elephant seal made its approach again to sea.
